In our daily
life, we often hear someone using short expressions to express what they
feel, and think about News, and someone’s achievements on particular
event such as; it’s really hard to believe, its surprise, congratulation
on your success, etc.
For discussing about the expression let read and pay attention of the following simple explanation:
PREPARATION: Pre Activity
1. What would you say when you got a surprising fact?
2. What do you want to say when someone tells you a bad or god news?
3. What would you say to congratulate other people
4. What do you say when your friend become a winner in a competition?
Expressing Surprise and disbelieve
· Surprise is to give somebody the feeling that you get when something happen that you do not expect or not understand.
· Something that you do expect does not happen. While disbelieve is to tell that something is true or possible.
Here are some examples of expressing surprise and disbelieve as follows:
- What a surprise!
- That’s surprise!
- Are you serious?
- No kidding!
- You must be joking.
- Really?
- Oh no, that’s not true.
- No, I don’t believe it.
- I’m really surprise
- Oh! Wow!
- That’s unbelievable!

Expressing Congratulations!
Expressing congratulation is always used when someone or other people success on doing something.

You try to send a sms-quiz on TV. In fact, you win it but you don’t know yet. Your brother tells you about it.
